How to Delete a City from the iPhone 7 Weather App

September 7, 2018 By Steven

Are there too many cities in the Weather app, making it difficult for you to find the ones you want? Or did you previously add a city to the app that you no longer need to know the weather for? Fortunately it is possible to delete a city from the Weather app on an iPhone 7.

Our guide below will walk you through the process of editing the list of cities in the Weather app. Once you are done, the app will only show the cities that you need.

How to Delete a City in the Weather App on an iPhone 7

The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus, in iOS 10.3.1. Note that you will not be able to delete the city that is in the Weather app because of your current location. You will only be able to delete cities that are not available in the Weather due to your current geographical location. There is an arrow on the city that cannot be deleted. You can add another city to the weather app as well, if you would like.

Step 1: Open the Weather app.

Step 2: Tap the Menu icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 3:  Swipe left on the city that you would like to delete. As mentioned earlier, you cannot delete the city you are currently in. So, in the picture below, I am unable to delete the Bethlehem option.

Step 4: Tap the red Delete button to delete the city from your iPhone Weather app.
