February 22, 2023 By Steven

As you visit Web pages in the Safari browser on your iPhone, you will create a history that you can use when you want to go back to one of those pages.

But if you want to delete this history, then you can do so quickly through the Safari browser itself.

Our guide continues below with additional information, including how you can clear your history in Firefox as well.

Learning to delete the history and cookies that have been saved to your Web browser is something that almost everyone has had to do at one point or another. Sometimes data will be saved in your browser that makes it difficult to use, and deleting all of that stored data is the only way to make the browser usable again. This is a trait that has carried over to browsers on smartphones, too, including Firefox.

Fortunately, the method for deleting your history and cookies in Firefox is only a few steps long, then you can return to using the browser, free of the stored data that had been affecting your ability to browse the Web.

How to Delete Firefox iPhone History

Step 1: Open Firefox.

Step 2: Open the Firefox menu. It’s the icon at the bottom of the screen with three horizontal lines. If you don’t see it, you might need to scroll down on the page a bit.

Step 3: Swipe left on the menu to display the second set of options.

Step 4: Tap the Settings button.

Step 5: Scroll down and select the Clear Private Data option.

Step 6: Select the types of data that you would like to delete, then tap the Clear Private Data button. In the image below I have elected to delete the Browsing History, but not the Cache, Cookies, or Offline Website Data.

Step 7: Tap the OK button to confirm that you wish to delete your data.

Deleting the history from Firefox won’t affect the history in any of your other iPhone browsers, so you might need to delete that, too. Learn how to delete website data from Safari, in case there is anything stored in that browser that you want to remove.
