Add Ringtones to iPhone is easiest when you use the iPhone feature that directly controls the task instead of changing several unrelated settings.
- If you purchased a ringtone through Apple's store, open Settings > Sounds & Haptics and use the option to download purchased tones when available.
- For a custom audio file, create a ringtone with GarageBand or sync a compatible ringtone from a computer.
