There is no universal switch labeled “Block Scam Likely” that works with every carrier. iPhone can silence unknown callers, while some carriers and call-identification apps provide additional spam filtering.
- Open Settings > Apps > Phone.
- Find the call-screening or unknown-caller options available on your iOS version.
- Enable the option you prefer for silencing or screening unknown callers.
- If your carrier offers spam identification, enable its supported call-identification feature or app as directed by the carrier.
Silencing unknown callers can also affect legitimate calls from numbers that are not recognized, so review voicemail and recent calls when you use aggressive filtering.
If the labels on your screen differ slightly, use Settings search or the app’s current menus to find the named feature. Apple sometimes moves controls between iOS releases, so follow the feature name rather than an unrelated setting with similar wording.
