iPhone does not provide a simple Google-style timeline of every place you have visited. Apple’s Significant Locations feature stores limited location information used for personalized services, and its presentation can vary by iOS version.
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Scroll down and open System Services.
- Tap Significant Locations and authenticate.
- Review the information iOS makes available there.
If you use Google Maps or another mapping service, that app may maintain its own location-history feature under its separate account and privacy settings.
Before making the change, make sure the iPhone is running a current iOS release and that you know any passcode, Apple Account, carrier, or app credentials the feature may require. If the labels on your screen do not exactly match these steps, use Settings search to find the named feature rather than choosing a similarly named control. Apple occasionally moves settings between iOS releases.
