Sony Bluetooth headphones connect to an iPhone through the normal Bluetooth settings. The important part is putting the headphones into pairing mode rather than merely turning them on.
Connect Sony headphones to an iPhone
- Charge the headphones enough to complete pairing.
- Put the Sony headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode. On many models this means holding the power or Bluetooth button until the indicator flashes or you hear a pairing prompt.
- On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Wait for the Sony model name to appear under available devices.
- Tap the headphone name and wait until it shows as connected.
After the first pairing, the headphones should normally reconnect when they are turned on near the iPhone.
If the Sony headphones do not appear
Make sure they are not automatically reconnecting to another nearby phone, tablet, or computer. Disconnecting that device or temporarily turning off its Bluetooth can help. If the headphones are listed on the iPhone but will not connect, tap the information button beside their name, choose Forget This Device, and pair them again.
The Sony companion app can provide model-specific settings and firmware updates, but it is not required for basic Bluetooth pairing.
