Stickers you create from photos or save to your sticker collection can be removed when you no longer want them. The exact interface can vary depending on where you open the sticker drawer.
Delete a Sticker From Your Collection
- Open an app that gives you access to the iPhone sticker drawer, such as Messages.
- Open the emoji keyboard or sticker controls.
- Open your stickers.
- Touch and hold the sticker you want to remove.
- Tap Delete.
Deleting a Sticker Does Not Delete the Original Photo
If you created a Live Sticker from a photo, removing the sticker does not normally delete the source photo from your Photos library. The sticker and original image are separate items.
Stickers in a Conversation
Removing a sticker from your personal collection is different from deleting a message or sticker that has already been sent in a conversation. Manage the conversation item separately if that is what you intend to remove.
If the Sticker Controls Look Different
Apple can adjust the keyboard and Messages interface between iOS releases. Look for the sticker drawer and touch-and-hold controls rather than relying on an older screenshot showing a particular button position.
Sticker Sync Can Affect Other Devices
Depending on your Apple services and device setup, sticker availability can be shared across compatible devices. Removing a sticker because it is cluttering one iPhone may therefore affect where you can use it elsewhere. If the sticker matters, confirm the result before doing a larger cleanup.
Back Up Important Custom Creations
If a sticker was created from an image that matters to you, make sure the source image is safely stored before cleaning up the sticker collection.
