You can hide your outgoing caller ID when your carrier supports Apple’s Show My Caller ID control. Some carriers manage this themselves and do not display the switch.
- Open Settings > Apps > Phone.
- Tap Show My Caller ID.
- Turn the switch off to hide your number on supported outgoing calls.
- Place a test call to a trusted number if you want to confirm how it appears.
If the option is missing, disabled, or does not work, contact your carrier. Emergency services and some other destinations may still receive identifying information regardless of this preference.
This setting normally applies to future outgoing calls while it remains disabled. It does not make previous calls anonymous, and it does not prevent your carrier from knowing which line placed the call.
