Live Stickers let you turn a subject from a photo into a reusable sticker. A Live Photo can also produce an animated sticker effect.
Create a Live Sticker from a photo
- Open Photos and choose a picture with a clearly defined person, pet, or object.
- Touch and hold the subject until it lifts away from the background.
- Choose Add Sticker.
- Apply an available sticker effect if you want a different appearance.
- Open a supported messaging or editing field and use the sticker controls to insert it.
Your stickers are available from the sticker interface in supported apps, so you do not have to recreate one every time.
If the subject will not lift from the photo, try a different image with stronger separation between the subject and background. Live Sticker availability also depends on the iOS version and device capabilities; an older iPhone may offer fewer sticker features.
