Drop a pin in Maps
- Open the Maps app.
- Move and zoom the map until the correct area is visible.
- Touch and hold the exact point you want to mark.
- Wait for the pin or place card to appear.
- Use the place card to get directions, share the location, or save it when those options are available.
If the pin lands in the wrong place, adjust the map and try again at a closer zoom level. GPS position and map imagery are not perfectly precise, so verify the surrounding roads or landmarks before sharing a pin for an important meetup.
