iPhone can use one wallpaper for the Lock Screen and a different image or appearance for the Home Screen. The controls are part of the wallpaper-pair customization system on current iOS versions.
- Touch and hold the Lock Screen and authenticate if requested.
- Choose an existing wallpaper pair or create a new one.
- Open the customization controls and select Home Screen.
- Choose a different photo, color, gradient, or blur treatment for the Home Screen.
- Tap Done to save the wallpaper pair.
You can also begin from Settings > Wallpaper. Changing the Home Screen portion does not require replacing the Lock Screen image.
