A full-page screenshot can capture content that extends beyond the visible iPhone screen, such as a long webpage in Safari. Current iOS versions can save supported full-page captures as an image or as a PDF.
Take a full-page screenshot
- Open the webpage or other supported content.
- Take a normal screenshot: on a Face ID iPhone, quickly press the side button and volume up button together.
- Open the screenshot editing view.
- Tap Full Page when that option is available.
- Review or crop the full-page preview.
- Use the save control to save the capture to Photos when offered, or save it as a PDF to Files.
If Full Page does not appear
The option is not available for every app or every type of content. Try the same page in Safari when you are attempting to capture a webpage. For unsupported apps, you may need multiple screenshots or an app-specific export feature.
Regular screenshots still work normally
For content that fits on one screen, use the standard screenshot buttons and save the normal image to Photos.
Before changing anything else
Test the specific feature again after completing the steps above. If the problem remains, avoid installing unknown “fix,” cleaner, security, or utility apps simply because an advertisement promises an immediate solution. Check the iPhone’s software version, network or account status when relevant, and any messages shown by iOS before moving to more disruptive troubleshooting.
If a change could erase data, affect an account, or alter cellular service, make sure you understand the consequence and have a current backup when possible. Apple can also change feature availability between models and software releases, so a missing option does not necessarily indicate a fault with the phone.
