For several pictures in quick succession, use Burst mode rather than trying to tap the shutter button repeatedly. Burst captures a sequence that you can review afterward.
Take a burst of photos
- Open Camera and select Photo mode.
- Frame the moving subject.
- Use the iPhone’s Burst gesture or configured volume-button Burst control.
- Keep capturing through the action, then release the control.
- Open the burst in Photos, review the frames, and keep the strongest shots.
The exact shutter gesture can vary with camera settings and iOS behavior, so the volume-button option is useful if you take bursts frequently. Burst is best for sports, pets, children, or any subject whose expression or position changes quickly.
Because a burst creates many images, review it soon afterward and discard unwanted frames to avoid unnecessary photo-library clutter.
