How to Take Screenshot on iPhone 11: A Simple Guide for Beginners

July 8, 2025 By Steven

On an iPhone 11, take a screenshot with the Side button and Volume Up button. The buttons only need to be pressed briefly.

  1. Display the screen you want to capture.
  2. Press the Side button and Volume Up button at the same time.
  3. Quickly release both buttons.
  4. Tap the screenshot thumbnail if you want to crop, mark up, or share it, or swipe the thumbnail away to save it without editing.

Screenshots are stored in the Photos app. If holding the buttons opens another screen or triggers an emergency feature, try a quicker press-and-release rather than holding them down.

You can also add accessibility shortcuts for screenshots if using two physical buttons is difficult.
