Tell if You’re Blocked on iPhone is easiest when you use the iPhone feature that directly controls the task instead of changing several unrelated settings.
- Look at recent call behavior without repeatedly testing the number.
- Check whether messages show their normal delivery status, if that service normally provides one.
- Consider ordinary explanations such as Focus, no service, a dead battery, or changed messaging settings.
- If appropriate, contact the person through another legitimate channel.
Apple intentionally does not notify you when another user blocks you. Treat common 'signs' as clues, not proof.
Message colors are not proof of blocking either. A conversation can switch behavior because iMessage is unavailable, a phone number changed, or network service is interrupted. Apple does not expose another person’s blocking decision to you.
When finished, verify the result in the app or setting you changed before making additional adjustments.
