You can transfer iPhone photos to a laptop with a USB cable or by using a cloud photo service. The best method depends on whether the laptop runs Windows or macOS.
Steps
- Connect the iPhone to the laptop with a compatible USB cable and unlock the iPhone.
- If prompted, tap Trust on the iPhone.
- On Windows, use the Photos app to import pictures from the connected device. On a Mac, open Photos and select the iPhone in the sidebar.
- Choose the photos you want and start the import. Keep the phone connected until it finishes.
If iCloud Photos is enabled, another option is to access synchronized photos through iCloud on the computer. When importing by cable, originals that are stored only in iCloud may need to download to the iPhone first.
