Screen Recording captures activity on an iPhone 15 display and saves the recording as a video. You can also include microphone audio when you want to narrate what you are doing.
Record your iPhone screen
- Open Control Center by swiping down from the upper-right corner.
- If Screen Recording is not present, customize Control Center and add the Screen Recording control.
- Tap the Screen Recording button.
- Wait for the countdown, then perform the actions you want to record.
- To stop, tap the recording indicator at the top of the screen and confirm, or return to Control Center and tap the Screen Recording control again.
The finished recording is saved to Photos.
Record with microphone audio
- Open Control Center.
- Touch and hold the Screen Recording button.
- Turn Microphone on.
- Start the recording.
Some apps prevent recording of protected video or audio, so a blank area or missing sound does not necessarily indicate a problem with the recorder. Notifications can also appear in a recording, so consider enabling a Focus mode before recording anything you plan to share.
