The quickest way to turn off the iPhone 14 flashlight is through Control Center. You can also turn it off from the Lock Screen if the flashlight control is available there.
Turn off the flashlight from Control Center
- Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
- Find the Flashlight button.
- Tap it once to turn the flashlight off.
If the flashlight button is missing, Control Center can be customized on current versions of iOS so you can add the control again.
Turn it off from the Lock Screen
- Wake the iPhone so the Lock Screen appears.
- Press and hold the flashlight control until you feel the haptic response and the light switches off.
If the light will not turn off normally, close the Camera app if it is open and restart the iPhone. The LED on the back is shared by the camera flash and flashlight, so iOS may temporarily prevent flashlight use when the camera or the phone’s temperature requires it.
