You can crop a picture on an iPhone 14 with the editing tools built into Photos. Cropping changes the visible frame of the image, and Photos normally lets you revert to the original later.
Crop a photo
- Open the Photos app and select the picture.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap the Crop tool.
- Drag a corner or edge of the crop box until the picture is framed the way you want.
- If needed, use the aspect-ratio control to choose a preset shape such as square or 16:9.
- Tap Done to save the edit.
The crop screen also includes controls for straightening and adjusting perspective. These are useful when a horizon is tilted or a photographed document looks skewed.
To undo the crop later, open the edited picture, tap Edit, and choose the option to revert to the original. Reverting removes the other edits made to that version as well, so consider duplicating an image first if you want to preserve both versions.
