What Does the Hide Images Option Do in Firefox for iPhone?

The Firefox app for your iPhone is a great alternative if you are interested in using a browser other than the default Safari one. It has some interesting features, and it can sync with your Firefox account if you also use Firefox or your laptop or desktop.

if you’ve started using Firefox on your iPhone and explored the Settings menu, you may have noticed an option called “Hide Images” and wondered what it does. As the setting implies, it hides the images that appear on the Web pages you visit. This ensures that pages you view only display text, which can make them much easier to read.

How to Turn on Hide Images in Firefox on an iPhone

The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 12.2. I am using the 16.0 version of the Firefox app for this guide.

Step 1: Open Firefox.

open the firefox app

Step 2: Tap the icon with three horizontal lines at the bottom-right of the screen.

open the firefox for ios menu

Step 3: Tap the button to the right of Hide Images to turn it on.

Now you can go visit a Web page and view that page without any of the images being displayed.
